Orderno.: 12126 The use of LED tail lights on trucks and trailers may cause some problems when testing the sockets of the trailer, as the LED lights do not like switched/ pulsed direct current. G.S.E. has now eliminated this problem by changing the transformer in the trailer light tester to a DC/ DC direct current power supply. The specifications and the cabinet is the same as the above mentioned. The output power on 12 V output is now 110 W, and the output power on 24 V output is now 200 W direct current. |

The trailer light tester no. 12150 is equipped with a battery. Because of the small dimension, it is both fast, easy and portable when you are going to control the light on your trailers.
The trailer light tester has a shock-proofed ABS cabinet fitted with a 7 pin socket, ISO 1724, 5 A battery and battery charger. There are switches and light diodes for each function in addition to a main switch.
By short circuit/ overload, the light diode of the main switch will turn off.
It is equipped with a battery indication showing:
100 % charged = 13,5 V
50 % charged = 12,0 V
25 % charged = 11,0 V (should be recharged)
The button "BAT TEST" has to be pushed down, letting the light diodes from the battery indicate the state of the battery before using.
The trailer light tester is protected against reversed polarity and overload by a 8 A automatic short circuit fuse. And the switches guaranteed up to 20 A.

By using the trailer light tester with running light you can avoid much walking while you are controlling your socket on the trailer.
Push down the button to automatic, and the light diodes of the concerned functions will lighten up/ flash in turn with the interval of few seconds.
By manually controlling, for example by repair, put the main switch to ON, and each function can be activated separately.
